There is only one public gallery in los Tuxtlas, but many locales express their feelings for art in myriad
ways. These are some masks hanging around Catemaco. They were not necessarily made locally.
Turtle faces, hanging on the walls of Gorrell´s restaurant in the La Isla section of Catemaco´s beach. So called "galapagos"
were used to paint them. That particular turtle is on the edge of extinction in the laguna because the locals eat them.
