The federal highways are in generally good condition. The state highways lack regular maintenance and are
encumbered by numerous "topes". The local roads and "terracerias" can only be described as barely passable.

Both the state and local roads are an impediment to the flow of commerce, and predictably will not improve in the

This is another INEGI statistic from the Censo Economico of 2009. Take them with largre grains of salt! How else can you
explain only 26 construction workers, 39 employees earning 146758 pesos each in the electrical industry, or only 122
people involved in education when there are more than 700 teachers registered.
